How to Help

We rely on people like you to donate your gently used or new mattresses and box springs, bedding and sheet sets, and financial support. Volunteering your time and even liking us on social media can help a ton. We could not do this work without the support of the community!

Please consider helping us in one of the following ways:

Financial Support

The work done by Sleepyhead Beds is paid for through pickup fees, fundraising events, grants, sponsorships, and individual donations. You’d be surprised how little it takes to deliver the happily ever after to these children.

Make a Donation

  • $10 $10 donation

    $10 provides 4 new pillows.

  • $20 $20 donation

    $20 provides bedding and a new pillow for a twin or full bed.

  • $60 $60 donation

    $60 provides a local child with a sanitized bed, gently used bedding and new pillows.

  • $100 $100 donation

    $100 buys a week’s worth of gas for our box truck to pick up, sanitize and share beds to Kansas City children.

  • $250 $250 donation

    $250 provides 10 cases of sanitizer to keep beds safe for kids and their families.

  • $500 $500 donation

    $500 provides 150 pillows for Kansas City kids to lay their sleepy heads.

  • $1000 $1000 donation

    $1000 provides 37 sets of rails to lift-up Kansas City kids.

Donate Bedding

We also accept bedding! Sleepyhead Beds needs your used bedding of all sizes. We need bedding to go with each bed we provide, because a bed is just one part of a comfortable night’s sleep. We need Twin, Full and Queen size bedding. We also need Pack-n-Plays for the youngest children on our waitlist. Similar to the mattresses and box springs you donate, the bedding you no longer need will be cherished by the families on our waitlist.

  • Beds frames or furniture
